Seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join my client's team and represent us in the Midlands

With a rich legacy spanning several decades, our company has been a trusted provider of energy-efficient hot water and heating solutions for Commercial and Industrial applications. We are renowned for our reliable, efficient, and cost-effective products. In recent years, our product offering has expanded to include integrated renewable solutions such as solar and heat pump technologies.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will take charge of representing this company in Midlands Area, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the region achieves its sales revenue objectives. Your responsibilities will include nurturing existing customer relationships and driving business growth by proactively identifying and developing new opportunities. With your persuasive sales skills, you will deliver compelling presentations to a diverse range of customers, showcasing your extensive knowledge of our products and their applications.

Staying well-informed about competitor products and industry/market trends will be essential to maintain a competitive edge. You will diligently maintain an updated CRM database, recording key accounts, contacts, and opportunities. Your resourcefulness and innovative mindset will enable you to achieve sales targets while collaborating effectively with other departments and colleagues to address customer-related issues. As a representative of our company, you will also have the opportunity to attend industry events, further building relationships through valuable networking opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Take charge of representing our company in Birminham and the surrounding postcodes ensuring the region achieves its sales revenue objectives.
  • Nurture existing customer relationships and drive business growth.
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations to a diverse range of customers.
  • Develop an extensive knowledge of our products and their applications.
  • Stay well-informed about competitor products and industry/market trends.
  • Maintain an updated CRM database, recording accounts, contacts, and opportunities.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and innovation to achieve sales targets.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments and colleagues to address customer-related issues.
  • Attend industry events on occasion, serving as a representative and building relationships through networking opportunities.

Skills and Competence Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Commercial HVAC or associated industry.
  • Proficiency in understanding the application of boilers, water heaters, and related products in commercial systems.
  • Adequate IT knowledge, including standard Microsoft Office packages and ERP software.
  • Excellent time management skills to optimize productivity.
  • A solution-oriented approach, capable of developing tailored selling strategies.
  • Basic financial knowledge to support effective sales negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Residency within the sales territory.
