Business Developer

£25,000 - £28,000 + £5000 Bonus + Company Car + Training + progression

To be based in the Midlands


This will be a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Aftersales Business Developer to take on a varied role within a Global sheet metal manufacturer.


This company are respected worldwide and have been going for over 50 years. You will have the chance to work closely with their loyal UK clients, strengthening relationships and understanding how their customers' need can be best supported.


Due to their success they are looking for a Business Developer to deliver high performance in promoting the company's positive culture, increasing revenue and supporting the after sales portfolio to customers and at events.


In this position you will be primarily home-based, travelling to clients across the UK within the company's installed base, with one day a week in the office. You will occasionally visit competitors too, to gather understanding on the best ways to support customers from an aftersales perspective.


Somebody who has a keen attitude, an ability to communicate with simplicity, and is an active listener will thrive in this role.


The role

  • Field based role/ remote working, with one day in the office.
  • Responsibility for achieving after sales targets.
  • Developing the relationship and revenue with inactive customers and increasing revenue with active ones.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, visiting them in a consultancy role.
  • Supports the machine sales with after sales portfolio.
  • Supports aftersales portfolio at company events.



The person

  • 5 years proven track record in a competitive B2B sales environment.
  • A background in tooling, machines or manufacturing background is advantageous.
  • You must be customer focused, accommodating, friendly and adaptable.
  • Foundational business qualification.
