Excellent opportunity to step into a BDM role, working for an international and highly respectful manufacturer, who will help to develop your technical skills within a niche area of engineering.

Established over 150 years ago, this specialist manufacturer operate across 4 different continents. They manufacture a broad range of products within a fast-growing sector, covering products within assisted living, thermostat through to smart and grid meters. They are seeking an ambitious individual to step into a Business Development Management position and to contribute to the UK & Irish market growth for this division.

In this role you'll be supporting with the delivery of business strategy. This role will involve identifying new markets as well as offering existing clients improvements for their gas & electricity metering technology. You'll be Identifying opportunities to widen clients' product portfolio and upsell products and services as well as developing a network of contacts in the industry to attract new clients.

This role is a field based role where you'll be required to visit clients across the UK and Ireland, the remaining days can be based from home with frequent travels to their UK HQ near Southampton.

THE ROLE:
*Achieving sales and creation/delivery of business strategy
*Identifying ways to widen existing client product portfolio/upselling
*Developing a network of contacts
*Field based role, meeting with clients

THE PERSON:
*Previous experience in a Technical Sales/Account Management/BDM role
*Min 2-3 years industry experience
*Ideally experience working in the Energy industry
*Ideally based in Birmingham or Southampton (or between)

*Full Driver License
