Carpentry Assessor (Full Training Provided)

£32,000 - £35,000 + Full Benefits + Career Progression + Monday-Friday Schedule + 38 Days Holiday
Are you a qualified Carpenter or Joiner looking to step off the tools and help shape the next generation?
This is a fantastic opportunity to become a Carpentry Assessor, providing one-to-one coaching, support, and assessment to apprentices both on-site and remotely. Full training is provided - including assessor qualifications if not already held.
You'll join a dedicated team passionate about high-quality vocational training. In this role, you'll support carpentry apprentices throughout their journey, from initial assessments to EPA readiness, ensuring their skills, knowledge, and confidence are built to last.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Carpentry or Joinery, a relevant vocational qualification, and a passion for helping learners succeed. You don't need to be a qualified assessor - the college will provide all necessary training.
The Role
Manage a caseload of carpentry apprentices (Level 2 & 3)
Provide on-site and remote coaching, assessment and feedback
Track learner progress and support EPA preparation
Work closely with employers and apprenticeship teams
The Person
Qualified in Carpentry or Joinery (Level 2 or higher)
Industry experience in the construction sector
Organised, approachable, and passionate about development
Assessor qualification (A1) desirable - training can be provided
Based within a commutable distance of Slough
