As a result of continuous expansion, an excellent opportunity has come about for a civil engineer to join a civil and structural engineering design consultancy in London.

This company are based a short walk away from London Bridge station, where their office is within a sociable communal office space in the old Ministry of Sound Building.

They work on a wide portfolio of projects from private houses through to top end residential, commercial and leisure developments, and everything else in between.
They promote a very supportive culture, where employees feel valued and look out for each other.

This is a varied role, where you will regularly engage with clients, external design team members and contractors, visiting sites when necessary. You will lead a portfolio for the projects for the civil engineering team, whilst preparing reports, drawings and calculations, and assist bid preparation.

The ideal candidate will be happy to work independently but also enjoy being a part of a close knit team, where they can contribute to the learning within the practice. You too, should be excited by the prospects of expanding your knowledge, and make the most of the training and development opportunities available.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about civil engineering, who wants to take ownership their projects and be proud of them.

The role:

  • Take ownership of civil engineering projects throughout the whole process
  • Liaise and engage with clients, external design teams and contractors.
  • Prepare reports, drawings, calculation and assist with the preparation of bids.

The person:

  • Relevant engineering degree
  • UK based experience on similar projects (school, leisure, offices)
  • Experience in flood risk assessments, drainage and road designs.
