Commissioning Electrical Engineer (Solar PV)

Remote work (With some UK wide site work)

This dynamic company focuses its efforts on commercial and industrial Solar PV development, EPC and O&M activities. They have worked on projects with major clients across 3 continents and this will be a chance to get involved in playing a key role in developing this further.

In this role you will be responsible for the industrial level Solar PV projects in the UK s. This will involve being the key player in the commissioning of the Solar PV systems (including DNO tests and supporting with the inspections). The engineer will assist with site visits to assess the suitability of potential PV applications. You will also be ensuring the application of UK regulations into Grid Connection designs (Incorporation with the DNO/TSO).

The ideal candidate will be a time served Electrical Engineer or have a bachelor's degree in Electrical/electrical technical Engineering. A sound knowledge of DNO requirements, grid connection specifications and local standards. A background of commissioning of plants, transformer stations or MV/LV equipment will be important for a successful candidate. Also experience sizing and selecting Medium and Low voltage equipment.

The Role

Electrical works in regards to the PV projects in the UK
Commissioning solar PV systems (Mainly industrial level)
DNO tests and support during inspections
Ensuring the application of UK regulations into Grid Connection designs (Incorporation with the DNO/TSO)
Assist with purchasing of technical equipment
Helping with Grid Network studies- Assessing available grid capacity in the UK networks

The person
Time serviced Electrical Engineer or relevant Bachelor's degree
Experience within an industrial environment
Knowledge of DNO requirements, Grid connection and power plants
Experience sizing and selecting MV/LV equipment
