Customer support software engineer
Northampton
£30,000 - £50,000 + Holiday + Flexible working + Training


Excellent opportunity for a Customer Support Software Engineer to join an international manufacturer of high-tech products.

In this role, you will join a team of experienced software engineers where you will be responsible for developing vehicle control language software, software maintenance, and updates, and providing technical appraisals on competitive products.

The ideal candidate will be confident in using C/C++ and python as well as have an understanding of software development life cycles, specifically the B model. Being knowledgeable of vehicles either from just having a passion for them or having experience from professional work is desirable for this role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a software engineer to develop in a customer support role with a company that offers flexible working and job stability.

The role:
Development of software using C/C++ and Python.
Development of graphics software for Instrumentation products.
Provision of software maintenance and software updates.
Technical evaluation of system products.

The person:
Confident in software development specifically C/C++ and python
A degree in mechatronics or similar is desirable
Able to effectively communicate with customers and meet their needs
Enjoys working in a team but also able to work independently
