£60,000 - £65,000 + Training + Progression + Hybrid Working + Bonus + Healthcare + Pension + Holiday

Are you a Design Engineer or Manager with experience in the Aerospace, Automotive or defence sector looking to join a well established international company in a management role?

In this role you will manage a small team, as well as being hands on yourself with the design process and new product development/ introduction. You will regularly speak to clients to ascertain their requirements, as well as liaising with other departments through the entire development process, from conception to manufacturing stages.

The ideal candidate will be a Chief Engineer/ Design Engineer/ Design Manager or similar, working within Aerospace, Automotive, Defence or similar industries. Candidates with proven management experience is beneficial, though strong engineers wanting to train into a leadership role are also eligible. It would also be highly beneficial to have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace or similar, though this is not required.

The Role:
*Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours
*Leading a small team of direct reports
*Designing new products, seeing through entire process from concept to manufacture
*Updating/ overhauling existing products
*Liaising with clients

The Person:
*Mechanical design background, Chief engineer/ senior engineer/ design manager level
*Experience within aerospace, automotive, defence, or similar
*Management experience beneficial but not required (training provided)
*A degree is beneficial but not required
