Field Service Engineer (Generators/UPS systems)

To be based near the following: Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Burton-Upon-Trent, Loughborough

£35,000 - £45,000 + Progression to Team Management + State of the art Company Vehicle + Pension + Holiday

Are you a multi-skilled engineer with a background working with generators and looking to join an industry leading company with the opportunity to progress into a team management position?

Do you have good experience servicing and maintaining generators, a mechanical and electrical engineering balance and your 18th edition?

This company are a leading provider of power protection solutions in the UK. They design, install and maintain backup power systems to ensure their clients critical infrastructure remains operational during power outages. For the last 2 decades this Family run business with a culture to match has built loyalty among their high end clientele, working with companies such as DHL and Jaguar Land Rover on UPS systems ranging from 100KVA to 2MW.

The role will involve both minor and major Generator and control panel servicing. Carrying out replacements on sets, supporting the installation team when needed and report writing for the work completed. You will be covering UK wide, with occasional stay aways, however most of the work is completed during the working week.

The ideal candidates will be a field service engineer with a background in generators. They will also have both mechanical and electrical engineering experience as well as their 18th edition.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work with high end clients on HV generators, demonstrating a great ability for fault finding, and offering technical support to engineers. Eventually progressing into a role where you are managing a team.

The Role

* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in generators.
* Provide technical support to clients and engineers.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance on generators.
* Covering UK wide
* Performance bonus scheme and progression available

The Person

* Full UK driving License
* Multi-skilled background
* Experience within the Generator industry is essential
* Based in the Derby, Nottingham, Leicester area
* 18th edition wiring regulations and 2291 Testing & Inspection
