General Manager (Renewables)
Tiverton - Commutable from Exeter, Cullompton, Taunton, Honiton
£40,000 - £45,000 + Gym Membership + Pension + Training + Progression
Are you looking for a Manager position in a leading Biomass company?
Do you want to take a step into the successful Renewable Energy industry with the opportunity to learn and develop your skills within Biomass.
This company specialise in the service, maintenance and installation of commercial biomass boiler systems. As the business grows they are looking for the right person to be able to manage the day to day running of the business and the back office operations.
In this role you will manage a small team of staff based out of the heading office, managing the back end operations of the business. Providing the support to the office and warehouse staff while supervising the non-technical aspects of engineers roles.
The ideal candidate will have managed an engineering department, looking to join a well-established renewable energy company.
The Role:
- Provide line management and support to office and warehouse staff, handling various requests and assisting with HR tasks, recruitment, appraisals, and policy communication.
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance, manage procedures, and renew Constructionline and SSIP, among other related responsibilities.
- Supervise non-technical aspects of engineers' roles, optimize procedures, and manage the company's insurance policies.
The Person:
- General management experience within a technical services or technology business.
- Confident in managing a small team
- Proficient in Computer Systems and software
