Birmingham (Hybrid)

£50,000 - £80,000 + 20% Bonus + Pension (10%) + Flexible Hours

The company are a specialist renewable energy developer with a portfolio of Solar & Battery Storage projects across the UK with an impressive pipeline in place for the next 2 years. The organisation conduct the full land feasibility, planning, submission right through to construction and handover.

In this role, the Grid Specialist will be responsible for managing the grid connection application process of ground mount solar and battery storage projects across the UK. You will work alongside the land team to identify new site opportunities and carry out yield assessments, engage with trade associations and DNOs, formulate and submit grid connection applications and be a point of technical support to the team.

The Role:
*Responsible for completing grid connection applications from initial conception to planning submission status
*Work alongside land team to identify new site opportunities
*Carry out yield assessment to determine feasibility of potential sites
*Engage with DNO and trade associations to solve queries and ensure project is on track
*Provide technical support for development and grid design

The Person:
*Degree qualified in related engineering discipline
*Must have worked on development or construction of ground mount solar projects
*Commercial awareness of projects to ensure maximum profitability
*Experience working with DNO
*Full UK Driving License
