Lead Data Scientist
SF Bay Area / NYC / Remote
$200,000 to $250,000 depending on experience + Health, Dental, Vision plans + 401(k) + Flexible & Remote working options
Excellent opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist with a keen interest in professional & college sport to join a rapidly growing tech platform in a highly varied, interesting and challenging role.
This company are one of the fastest growing sport platforms, with over two million daily users, they have a key focus across Football, Basketball & Baseball. Through growth, they are looking to add a Lead Data Scientist to their busy team.
In this position you will play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and enhancing ETL processes that drive the analytics and machine learning platforms. You will be responsible for developing actionable insights from complex data sets, working with multiple stakeholders across the business to assist with strategy and decision making.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Data Scientist with experience of ETL processes, data warehousing, Python & SQL. An understanding of data warehousing technologies like Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery is highly advantageous. A keen interest in professional & college sports is beneficial!

The role:
*Able to work from San Francisco Bay or New York City, with flexible and remote working available
*Design and implement ETL pipelines for a diverse range of data sources
*Generate clear & insightful data visualizations and statistical reports to aid business decision-making
*Work with multiple stakeholders across the business to provide actionable insights
*Continuous improvements
The person:
*Experienced Data Scientist / Data Engineer
*Strong Python & SQL skills
*Strong understanding of data warehousing technologies like Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery
*Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure beneficial
*Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or similar preferred
*A keen interest in sport is beneficial!
