The Team Manager will be accountable for the provision of specialist expertise delivering technical solutions through the management of a team of professional engineers. You will be working with engineering and highway colleagues and contractors to effectively and efficiently deliver the Works Programme.
This role will be responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of engineering solutions which are appropriate to the risk, budget, environmental and technical need.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in people management and be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge in highways. Candidates with bridges experience are encouraged to apply.

*Full ownership of the asset (bridges, highways structures and drainage)
*Accountable for the provision of specialist expertise delivering technical solutions
*Working with engineering and highway colleagues and contractors to effectively and efficiently deliver the Works Programme
*Responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of engineering solutions which are appropriate to the risk, budget, environmental and technical need
*Developing the future shape of the service, overcoming the challenges this presents and contributing to the longer-term plans and strategies such as the Local Transport Plan
*Candidate need to have managerial experience
*Have a proven track record in highways.
*Candidates with bridge experience are encouraged to apply.
*Public sector experience would be ideal but not necessary
*Proven track record in risk management.
