Excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global market leader, in a technically interesting role where you'll be able to manage design projects through from concept to production.
On offer is the chance to apply your knowledge in a new industry, working for an expanding global technical company, who are in a phase of expansion and will provide on-the-job training in their specialist sector.
This International roofing business have amassed a successful reputation across the globe, with 120 plants and an extensive number of brands under them - they are only going from strength to strength. Due to an increase of work with new and exciting contracts won, they are seeking an additional Designer to help bring their innovative designs to life.
In this role, you'll be working on design solutions using NX CAD and simulation software for innovative projects involving roofing products, systems and solutions, liaising with suppliers on specialist equipment design to support the manufacture of roofing products. This role will be a mixture of new product designs as well as design modifications to existing products.
You'll receive on-the-job training in their niche industry from experts in the field to equip you with the knowledge needed.

THE ROLE:
*Design of technical roofing products
*Using NX CAD

THE PERSON:
*Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineering role
*Any Industrial sector considered
*STEM Qualification preferred
*Proficient with 3D CAD - NX CAD/SolidWorks
*Experience with Simulation software
