In this role the Repairs and Maintenance Operative will be tasked with general property maintenance working. Working out of the town hall you will visit council owned properties across the borough of Waltham forest carrying out service repair which may include plumbing, electrical work or carpentry. You will be provided with a vehicle and be put through any relevant training needed for the role.
The ideal candidate will lie commutable to the town hall in Walthamstow. You will hold a City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ qualification, have a background in general property maintenance and hold a hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
This is a brilliant role for someone with excellent electrical works, carpentry and plumbing skills to join a public sector organisation that will offer job satisfaction and where you will be a vital cog in the wheel.
The role
*Working Monday to Friday
*Hours are 8:00-16:00
*Working within commercial buildings
*General property maintenance work.
*Working in the Borough of Waltham forest
The person
*Come from a handyman/ Fabric maintenance background.
*Experience of general property maintenance work
*Have good all round hands on skills- plumbing, carpentry and electrical works.
