As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site manufacturing and supporting maintenance activities, ensuring customer satisfaction, optimum plant performance, and equipment effectiveness. You will be responsible for overseeing the site policies and procedures and resolving any complex operational issues. You will be responsible for managing a team of two direct reports and fourteen indirect reports, providing leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that they perform at their best.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to make a real impact in a senior position whilst working with a talented and dynamic team of professionals. This is a full-time position, with 40 hours a week and an early finish on Fridays, allowing for a healthy work-life balance and the chance to enjoy all that Bridgwater and the surrounding area has to offer.

The role

  • Managing all site manufacturing and maintenance activities
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction, optimum plant performance and equipment effectiveness
  • Overseeing site policies and procedures and resolving any complex operational issues
  • Leading your team to ensure that production targets are met
  • Developing and implementing training and development plans
  • Investigating safety incidents
  • Supporting change management, and developing future improvement plans.


The person

  • Experience in operations management, ideally in a COMAH / high hazard environment with knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX requirements preferred
  • Ability to effectively manage a team whilst managing complex operational issues
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Be highly organized, and have a strong attention to detail
