This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an established Estates & Facilities team responsible for maintaining a diverse portfolio of commercial buildings, educational facilities, residential accommodation and specialist environments. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable operation of essential mechanical services across the estate.
Working as part of a highly experienced maintenance team, you'll undertake a mixture of planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault diagnosis, testing and installation work on a range of mechanical systems, including heating, hot water and ventilation equipment.

The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a varied commercial estate.
- Maintain and fault-find on heating, hot water, ventilation and other mechanical building services.
- Support statutory inspections, compliance activities and scheduled maintenance programmes.
- Work across a broad range of buildings and mechanical plant.
- Collaborate with an experienced and supportive Estates maintenance team.
- Receive structured development towards Competent Person (CP) and Authorised Person (AP) qualifications.
- Work a 36-hour week on a rotating early and late shift pattern.
- Optional participation in the on-call rota with additional earnings available.
The Person
- NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Installations.
- Experience maintaining commercial or industrial mechanical systems.
- Good knowledge of heating, hot water and ventilation systems.
- Background in planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and fault diagnosis.
