Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Sustainability)

Based in: Milton Keynes

£60,000-70,000 + Annual bonus & salary review + Private health cover + Holidays package + Income protection + £5,000 car allowance

On offer is the chance to play a integral role in large scale projects, work in a team of established engineers and sustainability professionals, and collaborate on some of the UK's most successful industrial buildings with some of the world's most recognisable companies. This firm are now looking for a principal electrical design engineer to add to their expanding business.

In this role you will be taking ownership of major projects, frequently liaising with the heads of departments. You will be leading a team of 2-3 engineers alongside the associates, working in tangent with sustainability contractors and building modelers. You will also be offered multiple training courses in line with your career development.

The role:

  • Leading large scale project design in electrical engineering, frequently in a sustainability setting
  • Occasionally finding opportunities for company development
  • Client facing role in design coordination
  • Work on numerous projects simultaneously

The person:

  • A detailed understanding of co-ordination with other design principles such as mechanical or structural
  • Has an electrical engineering degree or building services degree
  • Previous experience in managing and leading project design in electrical engineering
  • Competent ability in Amtech / any lighting design software
