Are you an experienced procurement professional looking to work on a once in a lifetime project creating and developing highly technical structures and utilising all areas of construction?
This unique company are undertaking the development of the UK's largest show park in which there will be live shows in the biggest UK indoor theatre featuring pyrotechnics and live animals. With the aim to bring tourism to the North, this project is funded and underway to create a large scale, fun, historical experience that all can enjoy. To help in the delivery of this project they are looking for a Procurement Manager from a construction background.
In this role you will be based from the site in Bishops Auckland and be responsible for leading all aspects of the procurement process from sourcing materials, products and subcontractors to liaising with suppliers to inviting to tenders and consistently monitoring supply chain throughout the project lifecycle. You will use Sage to create and maintain purchase orders and monitor market trends to ensure the most suitable products and materials are sourced. You will be responsible for procurement risk management, reporting to management on supplier performance, costings and areas of savings.
This role would ideally suit a construction professional from a procurement background with experience of procurement, financial awareness, supplier management and sourcing. You will need also need strong written and verbal communication skills.
