Sales Engineer - Surface Finishing / Plating
$80,000 - $100,000 + Uncapped Commission + Training + PTO + Great Benefits + 401k
Providence, RI (Commutable from: Warwick, Cranston, Pawtucket, Woonsocket, Burrillville)
Are you a Sales Engineer or Technical Sales professional with experience in plating, coatings, or surface finishing, looking to maximise your earnings through an uncapped commission structure while working with a global customer base?
This is a strong opportunity to join an expanding company known for its expertise in surface treatment solutions, where you will be supported with structured training to deepen both your technical knowledge and commercial capability.
The business is continuing to grow its presence across multiple sectors and is seeking someone who can contribute to both account management and new business development. You will work closely with customers across Automotive, Aerospace, and Defense industries, offering tailored finishing and coating solutions to meet application requirements.
You will receive ongoing support from senior leadership and technical specialists, gaining exposure to products, processes, and client-facing strategy. The role involves regular travel across the US and Mexico, around 40%, giving you direct access to key decision-makers and project opportunities.
This position offers a balance of autonomy and support, allowing you to build long-term relationships while actively driving revenue growth.
The Role:
- Build and develop new and existing business within surface finishing and plating markets
- Work with customers to provide technical solutions across key industries
- Travel up to 40% across the US and Mexico
The Person:
- Background in plating, coatings, anodizing, or metal finishing
- Experience in sales, applications engineering, or customer-facing technical roles
- Driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a client-facing environment
