Service Engineer (Generators)


£35,000 + Van + Training + Pension + Holidays

Are you a service engineer looking to join an established company offering full training within a fast-growing industry?

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased maintenance engineer to join an established generator hire company, which offers training and development opportunities as well as the flexibility to enjoy a great work-life balance with the chance to increase your earnings through plenty of overtime.

The company are a established generator hire organization that specialize in sales, hiring, light towers and servicing of generators and are looking to continue their steady growth over the next 12 months and are looking for an experienced service engineer with a mechanical background to help them achieve their annual goal.

In this role you will be servicing diesel generators and lighting towers through fault finding, diagnostics, replacing parts and carrying out further remedial work on the units, both in the depot and out on site. The candidate will also be working with hydraulics and fulling systems, maintaining and repairing machinery as and when required.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of engines, hydraulics and other mechanical systems, preferably holding their forklift license and a full clean UK driving license as well the ability to do fault finding and will poses transferable related skills.

The Role:

* Service and maintain generators and other machinery
* Conduct repairs and maintenance on equipment both on site and in the depot
* Run diagnostic checks on equipment and devise repair plans
* Further training available
* Van, holiday and pension provided

The Person:

* Mechanically biased engineering background
* Thorough understanding of diesel engines
* Previous experience working with generators (Desirable)
* Full Clean UK Driving License
* Forklift license (Desirable)
