Solar PV Design Manager
St Albans, Hertfordshire
£45,000 - £55,000 (DOE) + Progression to Technical Manager + Holidays + Hybrid working
Are you a Design Manager or Design Engineer who is looking to join an expanding company who are a part of the UKs move to clean energy.
This company work within the commercial Solar PV sector and work with clients across the UK offering them clean energy solutions to their businesses. They use cutting edge software's such as PV Sol and Solar Edge to design their projects.
In this role as a Solar Design Manager you will join the technical team of 4 and will be managing a team of 2 other people. You will be given an excellent opportunity to further your technical expertise in the renewable energy industry, with a particular focus on solar and energy storage projects throughout the UK.
The ideal candidate will have a design engineering background and have significant experience in electrical design of large scale projects . They will be proficient with CAD and PV Sol and will ideally be looking to stay within the business for the long term.

The role:
- Manage and lead a team of 2 design engineers
- Overseeing pre design by members of the team and adjusting these were needed
- Operating Quality Assurance meetings with other members of the company
- Reviewing market to identify new technologies that the company can use
The person:
- Hold a degree in design engineering
- Experience in design and delivery of commercial scale solar PV or battery storage projects
- Experience with AutoCAD and PV Sol
