The business is set to be Net Zero by 2050, and have a governance structure to oversee sustainability for the business.
In this role you will be providing comprehensive feasibility studies for costed initiatives and projects aimed at reducing energy consumption, waste generation, and carbon emissions. The clients holistic approach ensures your business aligns with environmental and energy-related legislation while exceeding sustainability targets.
The ideal candidate will have an intense commitment and background in sustainability, ideally complemented by a background in engineering, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
This is a great opportunity for the candidate to come in and drive initiatives that transcend traditional boundaries. The candidates expertise will influence everything from feasibility studies to project management, delivering unparalleled impact on the clients sustainability journey.
The role:
* Lead and oversee project management, driving the execution of initiatives as needed, encompassing feasibility studies and validating post-implementation cost savings.
* Stay updated on advancements in the energy market and evolving sustainability landscapes, ensuring unwavering adherence to sustainability, environmental, and energy-related regulations within the business.
* Administering legal compliance registers, aspects, and impact documentation, while also providing educational guidance to the business regarding emerging legislation and responsibilities.
* Deliver expert counsel and direction for maintaining the Environment & Sustainability management system, ensuring an ongoing enhancement process through the application of industry best practices.
The Person:
* Proven experience as a Sustainability advisor or similar role
* A strong foundation in engineering, manufacturing, or energy-related disciplines is essential.
* A thorough grasp of environmental principles, regulations, and sustainable practices is crucial.
* The candidate should be well-versed in environmental laws, carbon reduction strategies, waste management, and resource optimisation.
