Town Planner - Renewable Energy Projects

Commutable from Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Elgin

£40,000 - £50,000 + Progression Opportunities + 30 days Holidays

Excellent opportunity for someone coming from a town planning or environmental planning or similar background with an interest in the Renewable Energy sector wanting to take a step in their career with a company that offers progression and strong development opportunities.

This company are a highly established renewable energy developer including planning, landscape and environmental consultancy with a strong track record in delivering different renewable energy projects across the Scotland area including Biomass, Solar PV, wind and Battery storage. They have over 15 years' experience within the renewable energy sector and currently works on a vast range of exciting renewable projects across the UK.

In this role you will be getting involved straight away by taking Renewable Energy projects from conception all the way through to completion. This will include preparing, submitting, managing applications, undertaking different site visits, speaking and developing relationships with different stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from a planning, environmental or similar background looking to take a step into the Renewable Energy sector and make a positive impact to improving the Environment including developing your own career within a highly growing sector.

The role:
* Preparing, managing and submitting pre-applications, EIAs and full planning application submissions.
* Assisting in the project design, due diligence, wind resource assessments and grid connection strategies.
* Developing and meeting with different external stakeholders for renewable energy projects.
* Visiting different sites to evaluate feasibility for potential future renewable energy projects.

The Person:
* Previous working experience and knowledge in planning laws and planning requirements
* Degree in planning, renewables, Environmental sciences or similar
* Knowledge and strong understanding of the Environmental Impact Assessment Process.
* Renewables planning experience (desirable)
* Full UK Driving Licence
