Are you an experienced Embedded Software Engineer who loves getting hands-on with rugged military-grade hardware, legacy modernization, and complex integration challenges?
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a specialized, mission-driven defense technology organization that designs, sustains, and remanufactures high-reliability embedded computing systems and automated test equipment (ATE). You will play a vital role in full-lifecycle development, taking ownership of everything from low-level device control to modernizing legacy software platforms for critical defense applications.
In this role, you will design, implement, and test robust software solutions for military electronics and automated test systems. Working alongside cross-functional electrical and mechanical engineering teams, you will tackle unique reverse-engineering initiatives, bridge hardware-software interfaces, and build critical diagnostic tools that ensure absolute reliability in harsh operational environments.
This role suits a technical problem-solver with a strong background in embedded systems who enjoys the blend of greenfield development, legacy system re-engineering, and hands-on laboratory testing.
The Role:
*Design and test real-time software for embedded computing and automated test equipment.
*Drive reverse-engineering initiatives by analyzing legacy code, firmware, and hardware interfaces.
*Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems teams to guarantee seamless hardware-software integration.
*Create and maintain software utilities, diagnostic tools, and verification scripts for manufacturing.
The Person:
*Bachelor's degree in Software, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
*Experience developing software for embedded systems or ruggedized electronics.
*Strong programming proficiency in C, C++, and Python languages.
*Practical experience working with hardware interfaces, device drivers, or real-time environments.
*Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
