Are you an experienced Accountant looking to take the next step into a highly autonomous role, working directly alongside a CFO while taking ownership of key accounting functions?

In this role, you will work closely with the CFO and take ownership of month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, financial reporting, general ledger integrity, AP/AR, reconciliations, forecasting, audit support, working capital and internal controls. You will also have the autonomy to identify and implement improvements across the accounting function, while gaining exposure that can position you for future leadership opportunities.

This role would suit an experienced accountant looking for greater ownership, direct CFO exposure and a genuine long-term pathway into accounting leadership within an established business that invests heavily in its employees.

The Role

• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, forecasts and supporting schedules while working directly with the CFO.
• Oversee AP/AR, audits, working capital and internal controls, identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Join a business that actively supports professional development, further education and progression into Accounting Manager or Controller positions.

The Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Experience working with ERP systems, including hands-on experience across AP/AR, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Previous auditing and month/year-end close experience, with the autonomy and confidence to make decisions and support senior leadership.
