Excellent opportunity for a Field Engineer to join a leading civil construction contractor delivering high-profile runway and airfield projects across Virginia, with clear progression into Project Management within a rapidly growing business.

Are you an aspiring Engineer with experience in heavy civil construction? Are you looking to work on large-scale airfield and runway projects while maintaining a regional project base in Virginia?

This established and growing contractor specializes in airfield and aviation infrastructure and has secured a strong pipeline of projects across the state. Due to continued growth and the award of major contracts, they are looking to recruit a motivated Field Engineer to support delivery of complex civil works.

In this role, you will be based on projects within Virginia, starting in Roanoke. You will support runway and airfield construction projects, with the expectation to stay on-site during the project and travel home periodically.

The Role:

• Aspiring Engineer supporting airfield and runway construction projects
• Based in Virginia
• Assisting with RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and project documentation
• Working closely with Superintendents and Project Managers
• Site-based role with project stays and occasional travel home

The Person:

• Engineer with civil construction experience
• Experience with airfield, aviation, or large infrastructure projects preferred
• Willing to stay on-site for project durations within Virginia
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Looking to progress into Project Management
