Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a autonomous position where you will be working on both new and existing products across the whole life cycle?

This manufacturing company is a global brand who are continually growing and investing into its operations and growing their teams. Now they are looking for a Design Engineer to take a pivotal role in design and development for the engineering department.

In this role you will be working 75% of your time on production support for the rework of existing products and 25% of your time on new product design and introduction. You will be working closely with the other departments such as manufacturing engineers, tooling engineers and other designers. This is a hands on role where you will be getting out on the shop floor to understand how best to design and develop the companies products.

You will be a Mechanical Design Engineer from a manufacturing background with experience of designing components or equipment. Ideally you will have knowledge of Inventor as a bonus.

The Role:

• Design and Development of a range of products for different markets
• Both reworking of existing products and new product design and development
• Working closely with manufacturing engineers, tooling engineers, etc
• Using AutoCAD Inventor
