Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to become the site Subject Matter Expert for industrial power distribution, with a major focus on supporting and leading capital electrical projects from scope through commissioning?

On offer is a rare opportunity to join a long-standing US manufacturing site as the go-to electrical engineer, working closely with senior electricians and engineering stakeholders to modernize and maintain critical infrastructure.

This is a stable, well-established business supplying essential materials into multiple end markets. Due to a key engineer moving on, they are now looking to bring in an experienced engineer who can hit the ground running and raise site electrical reliability, safety standards, and project delivery capability.

In this role you will own medium-voltage power distribution (including 25kV) across an aging facility, while playing a central role in planning preventative maintenance, leading and supporting capital projects along with ensuring plant safety. You'll also provide technical support in the field (20-30% hands-on) across substations, MCCs, UPS for control rooms, and emergency systems.

This role would suit a proven industrial electrical engineer with power distribution experience who wants long-term technical ownership and the opportunity to drive and deliver meaningful site upgrades, with progression into senior/corporate/management routes as openings arise.

The Role:

• Site electrical SME for medium-voltage distribution (including 25kV) in an industrial plant
• Support and lead electrical capital projects (scope, documents, contractor coordination, installation support, commissioning)
• Own electrical safety standards, PM strategy, reliability and maintainability planning
• Work closely with senior union craft electricians and support field troubleshooting (20-30% hands-on)
• Day shift (7am-3/4pm) with rare 24/7 on-call for outages

The Person:

• Industrial electrical engineering background with medium-voltage power distribution experience
• Capital project support/lead experience in an industrial plant environment
