Are you a Controls Engineer or PLC Programmer with experience programming from scratch, looking for a role where you can take full ownership of automation projects from design through commissioning, while developing into a senior technical position with clear long-term progression?

On offer is a secure, permanent opportunity with a specialist automation and controls business where you will work across complete project delivery, covering control panel design, PLC programming from scratch, instrumentation, site installation support, startup, testing, and customer handover.

You will be joining a well-established control system integrator supporting clients, known for delivering end-to-end controls solutions. As a result of continued growth and a planned expansion of the Texas operation, they are looking to add an experienced engineer who can raise capability and take increasing responsibility.

In this role you will quote project plans through engineering design and programming, support panel build activity, and spend time on local client sites for commissioning and startups (typically within a few hours of home, with no overnight travel expected).

This role would suit a Controls Engineer with PLC programming fundamentals and control panel design experience, looking to deepen their technical expertise, take on greater project ownership, and progress into a senior-level position as the team grows.

The Role:

• End-to-end controls project delivery: panel design, PLC programming, instrumentation, startup and testing
• Program PLCs from scratch and support commissioning activity at local customer sites
• Work across water/wastewater automation projects with increasing project coordination responsibility
• Onsite role based in Rockdale, TX with frequent local travel (typically day trips, no overnights expected)

The Person:

• Controls/automation background with PLC programming ability from scratch
• Experience with control panel design and instrumentation within industrial/manufacturing environments
• Comfortable supporting projects through build, installation, startup, and testing
