Are you an experienced Architecture, Engineering or Building Systems professional looking to take ownership of new product development within an innovative residential construction business?

This is a rare opportunity to lead the technical development of new housing products, taking responsibility for turning architectural designs into coordinated, code-compliant and manufacturable homes.

The company is expanding its residential product portfolio, using innovative construction technologies to deliver high-quality homes and thoughtfully designed communities across California. As its in-house capabilities grow, you will play a key role in developing the technical solutions required to bring new products into production.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will work closely with Design, Engineering and Manufacturing, coordinating structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building envelope systems throughout your product program.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone from an architectural or engineering background who has strong experience coordinating complex building systems and is looking for greater technical ownership, taking products from early concepts through to prototypes and finished homes.

The Role

• Lead technical product development from initial concept through prototyping and production
• Integrate architectural intent with structural, MEP and building envelope designs into coordinated BIM models and construction-ready documentation
• Own engineering bills of materials, product configuration, revision control and technical change management
• Resolve technical risks, oversee code approvals and work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are complete and buildable

The Person

• Experience within architecture, engineering or building systems
• Strong experience coordinating architectural, structural, MEP and building envelope systems, supported by a relevant technical degree
• Proven experience taking designs through fabrication or construction
• Confident using Revit or comparable BIM/CAD platforms and managing multidisciplinary coordination, technical requirements and design changes
