This well-established manufacturer has been operating for nearly 40 years and continues to grow. As a result of continued success and expansion, they are now looking to add to their engineering team.

In this role you will design and develop electro-mechanical and material handling systems (linear actuators, servo motors, conveyors), producing 2D/3D designs and detailed drawings (SolidWorks preferred; AutoCAD/Inventor acceptable). You will create BOMs, O&M manuals, and design documentation, complete engineering calculations, and work closely with sales and cross-disciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, software, imaging). Approx. 15% travel is available to support customer sites and installations.

This role would suit a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on design experience who wants to develop into a recognized technical specialist, working on complex equipment with long-term progression and structured development.

The Role:
- Design electro-mechanical and material handling systems using linear actuators, servo motors, and conveyors
- Produce concept, detailed, assembly and fabrication drawings, BOMs, O&M manuals, and associated design documentation
- Create 2D/3D CAD designs using SolidWorks (preferred) or AutoCAD/Inventor
- Complete design calculations and write specifications for equipment procurement within a QA-controlled environment
- Collaborate with sales and cross-disciplinary engineering teams; approx. 15% travel to customer sites / installations

The Person:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years electro-mechanical and/or mechanical systems design experience with - 3D CAD (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Inventor)
- Comfortable producing drawings, calculations, and documentation in a quality-controlled design environment (ISO 9000 / NQA-1 or similar)
