Are you a Building Automation Programmer, Electrical Technician or Support Controls Programmer looking to move into an office-based technical support role, where you can develop into a fully capable controls programmer through structured on-the-job training?

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established specialist building automation business, supporting a varied project portfolio across sectors such as schools, healthcare facilities, and aerospace. You will work closely with an experienced owner in a small technical team, with the chance to build deep platform knowledge and become a key technical resource as the company continues to grow.

In this role you will support building automation and HVAC controls projects from the office by developing and modifying controls programs, creating front-end interfaces, HMI graphics and dashboards, and providing remote commissioning and troubleshooting support to field installation teams. The position is office-based for the first six months, with the potential for a few remote working days afterward.

This role would suit someone with basic electrical and controls knowledge, strong computer skills, and a genuine interest in programming and technical problem solving, looking for long-term technical development and progression in building automation.

The Role:

• Office-based building automation programming and technical support (initially 6 months in-office then hybrid)
• Develop and modify DDC/BMS controls programs; support downloading, testing, and commissioning
• Create and update HMI graphics, dashboards, and front-end interfaces
• Provide remote troubleshooting support to field technicians and installation teams
• Overtime paid after 40 hours per week

The Person:

• Understanding of electrical troubleshooting or controls and how controlled equipment operates (BMS / HVAC controls preferred)
• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn unfamiliar software and systems
• Comfortable working office-based and hybrid
