Are you a Geotechnical Estimator, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Project Manager, or Geotechnical Engineer looking to step into an office-based estimating role where you can take real ownership of complex bids and build a long-term career with a respected contractor?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-established geotechnical contractor (established in 1955, part of a major parent group) during a period of continued growth. You will play a key role in winning work by shaping bid strategy, scoping projects, and putting together accurate estimates for specialist geotechnical packages.

In this role you will work across multiple bids at once (typically 5-10 projects per week), reviewing technical documentation, completing take-offs, planning logistics, building crews and equipment into your estimate, and setting production rates. You will work within a structured two-step review process and use industry tools such as HCSS HeavyBid (support available via vendor classes and resources) and Primavera P6.

This role would suit someone with strong geotechnical construction knowledge who wants a stable, long-term position with genuine progression routes, increased responsibility, and the chance to become a key figure within a growing team.

The Role:

• Office-based Geotechnical Estimator role bidding specialist geotechnical projects
• Scoping work, reviewing documents, take-offs, logistics, crews/equipment planning, and production rates
• Producing bids using HCSS HeavyBid (vendor classes/resources available) and working with Primavera P6 schedules
• Managing multiple bids concurrently (typically 5-10 projects per week) within a two-step review process
• Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

The Person:

• Background in geotechnical construction / geotechnical engineering / deep foundations with knowledge of common techniques
• Comfortable interpreting technical documents and taking ownership of deliverables
• Experience with Primavera P6 (or confident using project scheduling tools in a bid environment)
