Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking for a senior role where you can lead complex engineering projects, mentor other engineers and progress into leadership? Do you have a background in structural design and heavy industrial equipment, and want the opportunity to take projects from initial design through to completion?

You'll join an established engineering company specializing in overhead crane and lifting solutions, working on challenging projects for heavy industrial customers. With a strong focus on developing its people, the business provides on-the-job training, safety training and technical development tailored to your existing capabilities, alongside opportunities to expand your knowledge across different engineering calculations and welding practices.

On offer is the opportunity to lead structural engineering projects from design through to completion. You'll develop designs, perform calculations, produce CAD drawings and collaborate with customers and internal teams, while mentoring engineers and driving continuous improvement.

This role would suit a Senior Structural Engineer or Structural Design Engineer with experience in structural engineering, CAD design and project delivery, looking for technical variety, greater responsibility and a clear route into engineering leadership, with company support towards PE licensure.

The Role

• Lead structural design and analysis for crane systems, steel structures and heavy industrial equipment
• Produce CAD models, fabrication drawings and engineering calculations, ensuring designs meet relevant codes and standards
• Manage engineering projects from initial customer requirements through to design, manufacturing and installation
• Mentor engineers, support technical problem-solving and improve engineering processes and standards

The Candidate

• Proven structural engineering experience, ideally involving steel structures, heavy industrial equipment or material handling systems
• Strong CAD skills, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or similar software
• Experience managing engineering projects from design through to completion, with the ability to mentor others
