Are you a CNC Machinist, Toolmaker, or Shop Lead with hands-on quoting experience looking to get off the tools and build a commercial career with genuine progression?

This is an opportunity to put your machining knowledge to use in a commercial role with an established engineering and manufacturing business that designs and builds custom machinery, with in-house precision CNC machining, fabrication, automation and assembly.

You'll work closely with internal machinists and suppliers to turn customer enquiries into accurate, competitive quotes. This means interpreting engineering drawings, assessing machining processes and production times, and gathering material and supplier costs to help win new contracts.

What is really exciting about this opportunity is where this role could take you. As you develop, there's potential to take on broader responsibility for Contract Manufacturing sales, with the longer-term opportunity to lead the wider sales function.

The Role:

• Prepare accurate, competitive quotes for contract manufacturing and precision machining work
• Interpret engineering blueprints and assess machining processes, setups and production times
• Gather material pricing, supplier quotes and input from internal machinists
• Develop towards broader Contract Manufacturing sales responsibilities, with potential progression into sales leadership

The Person:

• Hands-on machining experience in a machine shop or contract manufacturing environment
• Previous experience creating quotes for machine shop work
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
