Are you a Machining Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or Production Manager looking for a high-ownership leadership role where you can drive performance across a busy machining operation and grow your career with a major automotive manufacturer?

On offer is the opportunity to take full day-to-day responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, and cost within machining, leading group leaders and developing a strong, accountable team culture in a fast-paced production environment.

This is a well-established Tier-1 automotive manufacturer producing powertrain and transmission systems, operating to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standards. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add a Machining Manager to strengthen leadership and support ongoing operational targets.

In this role you will manage daily manufacturing execution, monitor performance through MES and reporting, drive 5S and continuous improvement, implement standardization and control plans, and ensure effective training for new and existing team members. The position is site-based in West Point, GA, with flexibility to support shift coverage and production needs.

This role would suit a Machining Manager from an automotive / high-volume manufacturing background looking to take ownership, lead from the front, and progress in a business with long-term opportunity.

The Role:
- Lead the machining department, driving safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery targets
- Manage and develop group leaders; support hiring, promotion, and performance management
- Drive 5S, standardization, control plans, and continuous improvement
- Monitor MES and performance reporting; escalate risks and implement countermeasures
- On-site role with flexibility for shift rotation, nights/weekends/holidays as required

The Person:
- 7+ years machining experience in manufacturing (automotive/high-volume preferred)
- Proven leadership experience in a production environment (supervision/management)
- High School Diploma/GED required; 4-year degree preferred
