Are you a CNC Programmer looking to work with advanced 5- and 6-axis machinery, take on more technically challenging projects, and build your expertise with equipment that's rarely found elsewhere in the US?

You'll be joining an established specialist tooling business working on large, complex dies and molds used in die casting and plastic injection molding, as well as prototype tooling. The work is varied, with a focus on complex tooling projects, repairs and refurbishments rather than repetitive production runs.

Most of your time will be spent programming at the computer using CAD/CAM, with some machine setup and operation when needed. You'll troubleshoot machining processes, select cutting tools for different steels, and work through the best approach for each job.

The shop has highly specialized 5- and 6-axis machining capabilities, including equipment that's exceptionally rare in the US. It's an opportunity to develop your technical skills on machinery that most programmers won't encounter in their day-to-day work, with scope to become a machine specialist or progress into leading the programming function.

The Role:

• Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for complex tooling and machining projects.
• Support machine setup and operation, including advanced 5- and 6-axis equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining processes, optimize programs, and select suitable cutting tools for different steels.
• Work on-site in Stevensville, MI, typically 43-48 hours per week (Days).

The Person:

• Has CNC programming experience and a working knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
• Understands G-code and M-code and can troubleshoot machining issues.
• Has a solid understanding of cutting tool selection, machining processes, and different steels.
• Experience with 5- or 6-axis machining is a strong advantage, although candidates with solid programming fundamentals and the ability to learn are also encouraged to apply.
