Are you a Finance Assistant Manager, Senior Accountant, or Cost Accountant looking to step into a leadership-track role where you can take ownership of month-end, budgeting, and reporting while developing into a Finance Manager position?

On offer is a long-term opportunity with a well-established Tier-1 automotive manufacturer, where you will be trusted to lead key finance processes, mentor a small team, and build the experience needed to progress into management as the business continues to grow.

This company manufactures powertrain and transmission systems and operates to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standards. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add to their finance function to strengthen reporting accuracy, controls, and budgeting capability.

In this role you will support month, quarter, and year-end close, prepare journal entries, lead budgeting/forecasting activities, produce financial reporting packs for HQ, support inventory counts and audits, and manage intercompany and A/R / A/P reconciliations. You will also manage and mentor 2 direct reports.

This role would suit someone with cost accounting and close experience who wants more responsibility, leadership exposure, and a clear route into a Finance Manager position.

The Role:
- Month-end / quarter-end / year-end close, journals, and financial statement preparation
- Budget control, labor cost and SG&A analysis, forecasting, and reporting packs to HQ
- Lead semi-annual inventory counts and support year-end audit activity
Intercompany transactions and A/R / A/P reconciliations
- Manage and mentor 2 direct reports (site-based role in West Point, GA)

The Person:
- 5-8 years' experience in accounting/finance (cost accounting preferred)
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Authorized to work in the US (no H-1B sponsorship available for this role)
