You'll be joining a privately owned engineering and manufacturing business with over 120 years of history, a growing workforce and a substantial project pipeline secured for years to come. Working closely with the engineering team and shop floor, you'll produce 2D drawings, 3D models and bills of materials for specialist engineered equipment. You'll gain exposure to bespoke pressure vessel designs, natural gas infrastructure and complex engineering projects, collaborating with experienced engineers and contributing directly to project delivery. As your expertise develops, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, contribute to engineering improvements and progress towards senior technical positions.

The Role

• Produce 2D mechanical drawings, 3D models and bills of materials, reviewing customer specifications and project documentation to ensure accurate designs.
• Work closely with engineering, fabrication and shop-floor teams, supporting manufacturing activities, resolving technical queries and helping ensure projects are delivered correctly.
• Develop your expertise in 3D modelling, piping design and industry-specific engineering standards through hands-on training and collaboration with experienced colleagues.

The Candidate

• Technical or trade school certificate in CAD design, mechanical design or a related field.
• Experience with 2D mechanical CAD design; a minimum of two years is preferred.
• Familiarity with 3D piping design, Autodesk Inventor, Plant 3D or a fabrication, welding or machine shop environment would be advantageous.
