Site Electrical Engineer / Electrical Commissioning Engineer

12-18 month contract

$80-100/hr + Per Diem + Technical Progression + Career Advancement

On offer is a high-impact, on-site role where you will support field execution from installation through testing, commissioning, and start-up-building your technical capability while working alongside experienced site teams.

This business is known for delivering complex projects across electrical and industrial services, investing in its people and continuous improvement. Due to ongoing project delivery and continued demand, they are looking to add an experienced engineer to strengthen site delivery.

In this role you will design and support power distribution systems, supervise installation quality, lead testing/commissioning activities, complete functional and loop checks, manage punch list closeout, and troubleshoot switchgear, transformers, and generators during energization and start-up.

This role would suit an Electrical Engineer who enjoys being hands-on in the field and wants a technically challenging project with strong long-term opportunity.

The Role:

• On-site electrical engineering support on a major project (15-18 months)
• Power distribution design support, installation oversight, QA/QC and punch list closeout
• Testing, commissioning, pre-commissioning, loop checks, energization, and start-up
• Troubleshooting switchgear, transformers, and generators during installation/start-up
• 40 hours per week, on-site

The Person:

• Experience with electrical power distribution systems
• Strong testing, commissioning, and start-up background on electrical equipment
• Comfortable working on-site with installation teams; safety/code focused
