You will play a key role in designing and developing electrical power distribution systems, switchgear, transfer switches, and industrial control equipment. Working closely with mechanical, manufacturing, and controls engineering teams, you will influence product design, solve complex technical challenges, improve existing solutions, and help maintain the highest engineering and regulatory standards.

This role would suit an Electrical Design Engineer or Product Engineer with experience in power distribution equipment or industrial control systems who is looking to become a recognized technical expert, expand their specialist knowledge, and make a lasting impact within a growing engineering team.

The Role:

• Design and develop electrical power distribution equipment, switchgear, transfer switches, and control systems, producing schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Take ownership of electrical calculations, protection coordination, product improvements, and technical problem-solving, ensuring designs meet UL, NEC, and applicable industry standards
• Become a key technical resource within the engineering department, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting product testing and certification, and mentoring junior engineers while developing your specialist expertise

The Candidate:

• Accredited degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Electrical design or product engineering experience involving power distribution equipment, switchgear, transfer switches, motor controls, or industrial control systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar Autodesk software, with strong knowledge of UL/NEC requirements, electrical protection, and industrial control technologies including PLCs, relays, or HMIs
