The company is looking for an experienced Electrical or Controls Engineer to take on a key leadership position within its engineering department. This role would suit a Senior Controls Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer or Technical Lead who has developed strong technical expertise in industrial automation, PLC-based equipment and electrical control systems and is now looking to step into management.

In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team covering electrical design, controls, service and installation. You will oversee the design and development of electrical control panels, PLC-based automation systems and machinery controls, while supporting projects from initial concept and design through to installation and commissioning.

Reporting directly to the VP, you will have the opportunity to shape the engineering department, drive improvements across controls and electrical design and develop the technical capabilities of the team. You will remain closely involved in automation and controls projects while gradually developing your management responsibilities, with full support and training available.

You will be an experienced Electrical or Controls Engineer looking to progress into management. Whether you are currently a Senior Controls Engineer, Lead Electrical Engineer or Engineering Supervisor, this is an opportunity to take ownership of a department, develop your leadership capabilities and build a long-term career within a growing manufacturer.

The Role:
- Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of Electrical Design, Controls and Service/Installation Engineers.
- Oversee the design and development of electrical control panels, PLC-based systems and automation equipment.
- Oversee electrical schematics, control panel design and the integration of control systems.
- Manage multiple automation and controls projects from initial design through to installation and commissioning.

The Candidate:
- Senior Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Engineering Team Lead looking to step into management.
- Strong background in electrical design, controls engineering or industrial automation.
- Experience with PLC-based equipment, electrical control panels or machinery controls.
