San Francisco, CA - Hybrid (4 days/week in-office)
Are you a Data Engineer with a passion for building reliable data infrastructure and uncovering business insights and are looking to join a high-growth AI startup in the heart of San Francisco, helping shape data strategy and systems from the ground up?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing series B AI startup backed by top-tier investors. The team is pioneering new capabilities in no-code AI agents that can collaborate across channels like email, Slack, and Zoom-handling open-ended tasks in dynamic environments whilst learning and improving over time.
As a Data Engineer, you'll own the end-to-end design and maintenance of scalable ETL pipelines, real-time data warehouses, and automated data quality systems. You'll build dashboards and analytics tools to track key metrics, partner with leadership to inform product decisions, and lead A/B testing and self-serve analytics efforts
This is a high-impact, hands-on role for data engineers who thrive on ownership, clarity, and shipping production-grade infrastructure that drives meaningful business outcomes and real-world impact.

The Role

  • Architect and implement scalable ETL pipelines for customer usage data and product analytics
  • Build and maintain robust data warehouses supporting real-time and batch use cases
  • Design automated data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting systems
  • Create dashboards and reporting tools to track core business and product KPIs
  • Partner with product and engineering to instrument new features for analytics


The Person

  • Previous experience in data engineering
  • Expert-level SQL skills and strong grasp of modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
  • Hands-on with ETL tools like Fivetran or Airbyte, and transformation frameworks like dbt
  • Proficient in BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and spreadsheet-based analysis
  • Track record of delivering independently with minimal oversight
  • Proficient in Python or JavaScript for custom analysis or automation (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, PostHog) and A/B testing frameworks (nice to have)
  • Excited to work onsite 4 days a week in downtown SF
