Design Engineer (Solar PV / Battery Storage)
Ramsgate, Kent
£30,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + Progression to Technical Manager + Holidays + Hybrid working
Are you a Design Engineer who is looking to join an expanding company who are a part of the UKs move to clean energy.
This company works within the commercial Solar PV sector and work with clients across the UK offering them clean energy solutions to their business. They use cutting edge software's such as PV Sol and Solar Edge to design their projects.
In this role as a Solar Design Engineer you will join the technical team of 4 and will be reporting to the lead design engineer. You will be given an excellent opportunity to further your technical expertise in the renewable energy industry, with a particular focus on solar and energy storage projects throughout the UK.
The ideal candidate will have an electrical design engineering background and have significant experience in electrical design of large scale projects . They will be proficient with CAD and will ideally be looking to stay within the business for the long term.
The role:
- Work within a team of 4 to design commercial scale Solar PV solution for there clients
- Use software such as PV Sol and Solar Edge to design systems
- Create PV performance simulations, using CAD
The person:
- Hold a degree in electrical or mechanical design engineering
- Experience in design and delivery of solar PV or battery storage projects (preferable)
- Experience with AutoCAD
