Facilities & Building Coordinator

Manchester (East)

Up to £35K Plus Training plus Benefits plus 25 days leave

08:00am- 16:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Are you an engineer from a facilities, building management or maintenance background looking for a permanent, days based role where you will be working for one of the UK's leading Manufacturing companies within their specialism?

My client is part of the UK's largest manufacturer of their specialised products, that is part of a global network of companies with over 50,000 employees throughout 30 different countries. Training and progression are readily available.

Based at their leading manufacturing facility in Greater Manchester, with over 300 staff, you will be coordinating facilities improvement and refurbishment projects. This will be a varied, challenging role that combines coordinating CAPEX projects, managing contractors and ensuring statutory compliance for building safety.

This role would suit a facilities and building management professional who enjoys working in a supportive manufacturing environment where the company are investing heavily in improvement projects including automation.

The Role:

  1. Permanent Mon-Fri days based facilities role for a large manufacturing company
  2. Varied role, involving office and shop-floor work, leading and coordinating building and facilities refurbishment projects
  3. Tasks include managing external contractors and simple layout drawings
  4. Strong health and safety and compliance element to the role, ensuring statutory compliance for all building services and improving building safety.



The Person:

  1. Academic and/or working background in Engineering/facilities management/building management
  2. Experience of managing contractors
  3. Basic CAD skills and can understanding engineering drawings
  4. Familiar with health and safety requirements (IOSH would be ideal)
