Graduate Engineer (Civil / Structural)

£28,000 - £35,000 + Training + Progression + Private Healthcare + Excellent Company Benefits

Darlington (Commutable from: Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Bishop Auckland, Newton Aycliffe, Durham and Northallerton)

Are you a Civil / Structural Engineering graduate with knowledge of steel structures, looking to kickstart your career within a growing company, offering lots of training and development?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly experienced team, where you will learn on the job to develop your skillset and work on interesting projects within the structural engineering industry.

The company specialises in the design and manufacture of equipment used within the construction industry. Their equipment has been used for a variety of high profile projects worldwide, and due to their continued success they are now looking for a new addition to their team.

The ideal candidate will have a keen focus within the steel structures industry and looking to kickstart a long term career within the industry.

The Role:

  • Design of steel structures / components used within the construction industry (using AutoCAD)
  • Finite element analysis and calculations
  • Working within a small and highly experienced team
  • Monday to Friday, office based role


The Person:

  • Civil or Structural Engineering graduate (or graduating this year - min 2:1)
  • Must have knowledge of structural steel, or have had a focus on it before
  • Experience with CAD
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA)
  • Good IT skills
