HIRE CONTROLLER

£23,000 - £27,000 depending on experience

An exciting opportunity for a 'Hire Controller' is available at an award-winning builder of high-quality building projects, offering exceptional service and a commitment to excellence for nearly 50 years. They have experienced considerable growth in recent years and are looking to recruit a full time Hire Controller to join their busy Head Office in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside near Chippenham.

The company works on refurbishment, conversion, new builds, leisure, sustainability and commercial projects and pride themselves on giving an honest appraisals and delivering on their promises, providing a quality service across all projects.

In this role you will act as the main point of contact for all hire requirements from the companies construction sites. You will deal with hire requests for plant, small tools and skips by both telephone and email.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a hire role either within a similar environment or within a hire company. Candidates with previous experience in telephone-based customer service and/or sales roles will also be considered.

The Role:

* Create and maintain relationships with new and existing hire suppliers whilst negotiating the best hire terms

* Raising hire enquiries with suppliers, placing orders and ensuring timely deliveries to site

* Producing site ''on hire'' reports, liaising with the construction sites to ensure all items are still in use

* Make valued assessments and cost comparisons as to when items should be purchased rather than hired.


The Person:


* You must have a willingness to develop existing processes whilst also implementing new ones.

* This position requires you to be highly organised. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* You will need to be IT literate and be familiar with MS Office and Excel. You will need to be willing to learn how to use their internal systems that will be critical to your role.
