Are you an HR Generalist / Coordinator looking to advance into a managerial role and join a small company with a close-knit, family-like environment?
This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands on training with the HR Manager, who will train you to take her job by November of 2026.
The company specializes in power conversion, designing and manufacturing high-performance products for the marine and aviation sectors, including military and defense applications.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the company's human resources functions, including policy development and implementation, employee onboarding and offboarding, performance management, payroll and benefits administration, employee retention initiatives, and coordination of company events.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is early in their HR career wanting to take a step into a managerial position.
The Role:
- Manage hiring, terminations, and employment status changes
- Ensure compliance with employment, payroll, and benefits regulations
- Administer and document disciplinary or corrective actions
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll, including taxes and 401(k)
- Plan and coordinate company events and employee engagement activities
- Prepare and file annual W-2 forms
The Person:
- Strong knowledge of a broad range of HR function
- Up-to-date understanding of labor laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Experienced in conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities efficiently
- Documented US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
