MIG Welder - Ex-Forces Welder / Fabricator
Stoke-on-Trent Area (Workshop / On-site)
Permanent / Full-Time
£14.00 - £16.00 per hour (DOE)


Do you have solid welding experience, a disciplined, self-motivated mindset, and a technical background from military service? Are you looking for a role where your welding skills are put to excellent use in structural and architectural fabrication?


We are working with a leading structural and architectural metal fabrication business based in Stoke-on-Trent (servicing UK-wide contracts). The company specialises in architectural and structural fabrications across steel and bespoke metalworks.


They require an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator; ideally ex-forces or disciplined tradespeople to join their dynamic workshop team and support fabrication and site works.

The Role

  • Perform MIG welding on structural steel components, architectural metalwork, and assemblies.
  • Weld to specification and to high finish standards, in both workshop and site settings.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Collaborate with fabricators, fitters, and site teams to solve technical challenges on fabrication or installation.


The Person

  • Proven experience in MIG welding in steel or architectural fabrication environments.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgical principles, and welder best practices.
  • Ability to read engineering fabrication/assembly drawings and to interpret welding symbols.
  • Ex-Forces background or military experience is highly valued and considered an asset.
  • Self-disciplined, punctual, quality-focused, and physically onsite capable.
  • Local to or willing to commute to Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.
